Self-referential?

what could this mean: art that references the place in which it is viewed. ie, taking a photograph of a train station and then displaying it in the same train station, just across from or near the exact location you've photographed. ??

this is what i'm thinking on. considering doing this for the next crit, in the hopes of bringing it into the April Show. this is definitely different for me. a little like the blind leading herself, though.

  2. yes, exactly like that.
    I pitched the idea to Ben, though he said I should put an image of a wall onto the very wall itself. and to make the proportions identical. we'll see.
